What to expect

Mirissa Beach is a beautiful little fishing village with a nice beach and two surfing points. The beach offers great activities such as swimming, snorkelling, and lazing by the beach. It's a great spot for whale and dolphin watching, and turtle sightings while snorkelling. The area also has a secret beach with a bay area, nestled in a cove and flanked by small hills covered in lush green palm trees, creating a number of smaller beaches. The main beach is perfect for a proper swim, while the smaller beaches are protected from the waves and ideal for a calm and still swim. Visitors can also take a bus ride along the coast road, visit the nearby town of Weligama, or go shopping in Matara City
