What to expect

The Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, known simply as Las Ventas, is the largest bullfighting ring in Spain. It was inaugurated on June 17, 1931, and has a seating capacity of 23,798. The bullring is divided into a ring or arena, and a group of zones called 'patios'. Its architecture is Neo-Mudéjar, with ceramic representations of the arms of the different Spanish provinces. The arena has a diameter of 60 meters and is surrounded by 10 'tendidos' (groups of 27 rows). The bullring has a rich history, with many notable bullfighters having performed there, including Juan Belmonte and Manolete. Visitors can take a tour of the bullring and learn about its history and significance in Spanish culture
