What to expect

The Palau de la Música Catalana is a concert hall in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, designed in the Catalan modernista style by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It was built between 1905 and 1908 for Orfeó Català, a choral society founded in 1891. The palace is a masterpiece of modernism, with a richly adorned facade featuring mosaic pillars, busts of great masters, and elements from Gothic and Moorish architectural styles. The concert hall is one of the most beautiful in the world, with a stage dominated by an organ and surrounded by 16 muses playing different musical instruments. The auditorium is filled with natural light, and the decorative elements made of ceramics with natural forms are typical of modernism. The Palau de la Música Catalana has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997 and is a great place to visit for music lovers and families alike
