Montaña del Tauro is a mountain located in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is a small but interesting mountain with a unique shape, resembling a cut-off pyramid. The mountain has big, sloped walls that rise up in the north and east, forming a wide summit plateau on top. The real summit is set back a little above a windy ledge. The Laderones de Mogan, 1000m high walls, tower above the Barranco de Mogan, a canyon-like barranco in the south-west of the island. The mountain offers breathtaking views into the barranco and beyond. A hike to the summit takes about two hours, and the trail is considered easy to moderate in difficulty. The views from the top are nice, and there is a big cairn with a notebook where you can write your name

Activities: We hiked up the Montaña del Tauro. The hike started at 900 meters above sea level and climbed to 1220 meters. We walked over a stony plateau with a view of the Teide on the neighboring island of Tenerife
Highlights: The views were amazing! "We have the view over the west" and "the view over the east". We also enjoyed the warm, spicy scent of the Canarian pines ✨
