Guía de Isora is a municipality located in the western part of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain. The capital municipal is situated in the casco urbano of Guía, at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level. The municipality has a total area of 143.43 km² and a population of 21,711 inhabitants. The name 'Guía de Isora' comes from the name of the capital municipal and the term 'Isora', which is of Guanche origin and refers to a type of volcanic terrain. The municipality has a rich history and culture, with several symbols, including an escudo heráldico and a bandera municipal. The escudo heráldico features a varonil hand and a femenina hand, representing the fusion between the Castilian conquerors and the Guanches, as well as a monte de sinople and an árbol de lo mismo, representing the cerro de las Chajoras and the Almácigo de Chajajo.
