Ibiza Fortress

Ibiza Fortress, also known as Ibiza Castle, is a historic fortress located in the Old Town of Ibiza. The fortress has a rich history dating back to the 7th century BC, with various civilizations such as the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, and Arabs leaving their mark on the site. The current structure is a result of the Arab occupation in the 9th century AD, with subsequent enhancements made by the Christians in the 13th century. The fortress features impressive walls, towers, and bastions, including the Sant Jaume Bastion, which now houses a military museum, and the Sant Pere Bastion, which offers an exhibition on the history of the castle.
