Iglesia del Salvador

Church Seville, Andalucia, Spain

What to expect

The Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador is a medieval church located in Seville, built on the site of an old mosque dating from the Caliphate, which had previously been a Roman basilica. The church features a large façade, slender columns, and a series of chapels and altarpieces that provide an incomparable setting for discovering the world of Baroque Seville. Outstanding features include the main altarpiece, the sacramental chapel, and several notable artworks, such as the images of Our Father Jesus of the Passion and Saint Christopher by Juan Martínez Montañez, and the Sacred Christ of Love by Juan de Mesa. The church also has an 18th-century organ and high and low sacristies
