Playa de la Misericordia

Beach Málaga, Andalucia, Spain

What to expect

Playa de la Misericordia is a popular beach in Málaga, known for its dark sand and old smokestacks along the coastline. It's a great spot for families, with a children's playground, sports equipment, and life guards. The beach is approximately 2000 meters long and 30 meters wide, and it has been awarded the Blue Flag for its environmental quality. Visitors should be aware of the 'Ola del Melillero', a daily phenomenon caused by the arrival of the ferry from Melilla, which can suddenly raise the sea level and wet towels and personal belongings. The beach offers various amenities, including showers, footbaths, sailing area, and snack bars

These are the most beautiful and fun beaches in Málaga!
This family's experience:

Activities: We visited Playa de la Misericordia, a beach where it is "a little quieter than Playa de la Malagueta." The sand was fine, there were shady spots and the water was calm, perfect for the children. We enjoyed the boulevard with playgrounds and the water park. We watched the beautiful sunset

Highlights: Playa de la Misericordia was great because the kids had a lot of fun on the various playground equipment. It was lovely for us to enjoy a more relaxing beach. "There are several play equipment for children." ✨
