Muizenberg is a beach-side town in the Western Cape, South Africa, considered to be the main surfing spot in Cape Town. It is home to a surfing community, centered on the popular 'Surfer's Corner'. The beach is flat, wide, and the water is generally calm, making it very child-friendly. Muizenberg has a variety of accommodation options available, including Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts, and Self-catering units. The town has many examples of grand architecture from its Victorian times and is home to several museums, including the Muizenberg Carnegie Library and the Rhodes Cottage museum. Activities: We went to Muizenberg. The kids built and painted in the white sand, since we didn't want to swim due to the presence of sharks. We enjoyed smoothies at the cafes on the new promenade
