Chapman's Peak Drive is a scenic 9km road that winds along the rocky red cliffs of Chapman's Peak, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and is bookended by the stunning coastal suburbs of Hout Bay and Noordhoek. The drive offers numerous points to safely pull over and take in the panoramic views across the deep-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the shapely shoreline that meets it. Visitors can see whales and dolphins frolicking in the ocean below, and baboon troops curiously observing passing tourists. The road has 114 curves, making it necessary to drive slowly and cautiously. There are also hiking trails, including one that goes up Chapman's Peak, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area
