What to expect
Rietvlei Nature Reserve is a 4,000-hectare nature reserve located in southern Pretoria, South Africa. The reserve is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including over 2000 different animals and around 240 different bird species. Visitors can enjoy game viewing, cycling, angling, and walking trails, as well as horse rides and guided game drives. The reserve is also home to two dams, which offer bird hides and provide open-water and wetland habitats for a variety of bird species. Families can enjoy a picnic or explore the reserve's many trails and activities, making it a great day trip from Pretoria
