What to expect
The National Zoological Garden of South Africa, also known as the Pretoria Zoo, is a world-class zoo and the largest in South Africa. It is home to over 9,000 animals from 700 species, including mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The zoo features various exhibits such as the aquarium, aviary, and reptile park, as well as a cable car and golf carts for easy navigation. Visitors can explore the zoo's 85 hectares of pristine land, which includes a walk-through aviary, enclosures for African penguins, Cape fur seals, leopards, and other animals. The zoo also offers a picnic area, restaurants, and a crafts market, making it a great place for families to visit and enjoy

Activities: We took the kids to the zoo in Pretoria. The National Zoological Garden is located in the center of the city of Pretoria and you can spot most of Africa’s large animals here such as the elephant, giraffe, buffalo, rhino, zebra and crocodile
