The Apartheid Museum is a museum illustrating apartheid and the 20th-century history of South Africa. The museum is part of the Gold Reef City complex in Johannesburg and was opened in November 2001. It provides a comprehensive look at the history of apartheid, with exhibits such as the Pillars of the Constitution, Race Classification, Journeys, and Segregation. The museum also features a Mandela Exhibition, which is a life-map of South Africa's greatest son and arguably the world’s greatest humanitarian icon. Visitors to the museum are greeted with a very real reflection of what it was like to live in a racially segregated society, with two entrances labelled 'White' and 'Non-white', and depending on which ticket you are issued, you will be ushered through one of the two
