The Walls of Piran are the defensive walls of Piran, a coastal town on the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Slovenia. Significant parts of the fortification walls remain well-preserved. The walls were built in response to the city's expansion, with the first wall being built in the 7th century, and two additional walls being built in the 13th and 15th centuries. Seven gates remain preserved, including the Milje Gate, the Dolfin Gate, and the Field Gate. The walls offer stunning views of the town and the Adriatic Sea, making it a must-visit place in Piran. The best-preserved section of the wall is located on Morgoron Hill, which is a fair climb up from the town center. The view from the top is excellent, with the old town of Piran set snugly on its 'V' shape peninsula and surrounded by crystal-clear blue water

Activities: We walked along the city walls, which are one of the most beautiful sights in Piran. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk uphill from St. George's Church. Our 2-year-old enjoyed exploring the wall and could move around freely
Highlights: The views from the city walls were amazing, even better than the bell tower in my opinion. It's a perfect place for a romantic sunset! We took our time and enjoyed the scenery ✨
