The market is divided into outdoor and indoor areas, offering a variety of products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy products, and local specialties. The outdoor market takes place in the Vodnikov trg and Pogačarjev trg squares, while the indoor market is located in a two-storey building designed by Jože Plečnik. The market also features a fish market, a flower market, and a series of small food shops along the river Ljubljanica.
