The Vrata Valley, located in the heart of the Julian Alps, leads to the base of the Triglav northern wall, the highest peak in Slovenia. It is the largest glacial redesigned valley on the north side of the Julian Alps, stretching from Mojstrana to the foot of the Triglav North Wall. The valley features the Peričnik waterfalls, with the lower waterfall being 52 meters high and the upper waterfall being 16 meters high. Visitors can walk underneath the lower waterfall and see it from behind. The valley is also home to the Aljažev hut, which serves as a starting point for trips and mountain tours to Mount Triglav and other nearby peaks. The Triglavska Bistrica trail runs through the valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and access to the Galleries, a natural rock formation eroded by the Triglavska Bistrica River
