Rakov Škocjan is a picturesque karst valley created from a karst cave by its ceiling caving in and collapsing. The valley features the 42m high Small Natural Bridge, the 37m high Great Natural Bridge, and the gorges behind them. The Rak stream meanders along the bottom of the flat clay bottom, surrounded by reeds and floodplain meadows. The valley is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the narrow-necked blind cave beetle, and is an important wetland and landscape park. Visitors can walk along the soft surface of the well-maintained footpath, rest in the shade of centuries-old oaks, and enjoy the view from the magnificent Great Natural Bridge. The valley is a great place to visit for families, with its unique natural beauty and diverse wildlife
