Beckov Castle is a majestic monument situated on top of a 60-metre steep rock massif above the village of Beckov. The castle, close to the Váh River, guarded the trade route through the Váh River watershed area. It was once home to kings, mighty noblemen, and knights, and withstood the raids of Tartars and Turks. The castle has a rich history, with various noble families inhabiting it before it was destroyed by a fire in the 18th century. Today, the castle is a popular tourist destination, with many interesting events held there, including a castle festival in July. Visitors can explore the well-conserved ruins of the castle and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding Považie region. The castle is also home to a 6.5 m long wooden dragon, Blundus, and an exhibition of historical furniture and artwork. The nearby Ambrovec Mansion houses an exhibition of local history and offers a glimpse into the lives of the noblemen who once inhabited the castle
