Jamské pleso is a mountain lake in the High Tatras, Slovakia. It is located in the Važecká dolina valley, near the Tatranská magistrála trail, and has a surface area of 0.68 ha and a maximum depth of 4.3 m. The lake is surrounded by a limbový háj, a memorial forest dedicated to the heroes of the Slovak National Uprising. The lake is a popular tourist destination, and its surroundings offer beautiful views of the Tatra mountains. The lake has no surface inflow or outflow, and its water drains underground into the nearby streams. The lake's dimensions have been measured several times, and its surface area and depth have been found to be relatively stable over time
