What to expect

Orchard Road, often known colloquially as simply Orchard, is a major 2.5 km-long road in the Central Area of Singapore. It is an upscale shopping area, with numerous internationally renowned department stores, shopping malls, restaurants, and coffeehouses located in its vicinity. The road is lined with large trees, providing shade and relief from the heat, and has an extensive network of underpasses connecting many of the malls. Orchard Road is a popular hotspot in Singapore, especially at night, attracting trendy urban youth. The area is also home to two of Singapore's top museums, the National Museum of Singapore and the Singapore Art Museum, which are within striking distance of Dhoby Ghaut and Bras Basah MRT stations
