Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay located in Singapore, along the Singapore River. It is one of the liveliest areas of the city, filled with old warehouses, restaurants, shops, and bars. The quay is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay. During the 19th century, this was the commercial centre of the city, with many godowns, commercial houses, shophouses, and even a dock located along the river. Today, Clarke Quay is a popular entertainment district, with a variety of restaurants, bars, and nightlife options. Visitors can also find the G-Max, an enormous slingshot that sends riders flying at over 200 km/h. The area is also home to the River House, one of the oldest buildings in Clarke Quay, which has been restored and turned into a restaurant
