What to expect
Zemun is a municipality in the city of Belgrade, Serbia, located on the right bank of the Danube river. It has a rich history, with the area being inhabited since the Neolithic period. The town was conquered by the Kingdom of Hungary in the 12th century and later became an important military outpost. Activities: We visited Zemun, a quieter district of Belgrade where our holiday apartment was located. We spent an afternoon on the banks of the Danube, the most pleasant one in Serbia
Highlights: We were grateful to meet our old friend, the Donau, again. Cafes and restaurants lined the riverbank, and small boats swayed on the gentle waves. The afternoon was definitely our most pleasant in Serbia ✨
