The Farol de Montedor is a lighthouse located in the place of Montedor, about 8 km north of Viana do Castelo. It was built in 1910 and has a tower with a height of 28 meters. The lighthouse has a focal height of 103 meters above the sea level and an optical range of 22 miles. It was automated in 1987 and has undergone several transformations over the years. The lighthouse is an important aid to navigation for ships approaching the coast of Viana do Castelo. Visitors can explore the surrounding area and enjoy the scenic views of the coastline

Activities: We wanted to go to the lighthouse, but it was closed. We then went to the beach and followed a path that winds through the village and continues on the beach under walkways
Highlights: We were attracted by a strange structure at the edge of the water. We quickly found a marked path that winds through the village before continuing on the beach as walkways. Too good! ✨
