The World of Discoveries is an interactive museum and theme park that recreates the amazing adventures of the Portuguese navigators, crossing oceans to discover previously unknown worlds. The museum features 20 informative thematic permanent exhibitions, interactive multi-sensory exhibits, and live theatre performances. Visitors can walk in the footsteps of Portugal's famous navigators, such as Infante Dom Henrique of Portugal, Ferdinand Magellan, and Vasco da Gama, and experience how it felt to see unknown lands for the first time. The museum also has a restaurant that serves exotic delicacies and delicious food from around the world. World of Discoveries – Porto Day 3
Activities: We went to World of Discoveries, a museum that retraces the history of Portuguese navigators. We explored interactive exhibits, including models of ships and giant screens showing explorers' voyages. We then went on a boat ride through the old Portuguese colonies, like Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris. Unfortunately, the loudspeakers weren't working
Highlights: The children loved the interactive elements, especially the touch screens. Lucie, who is a natural with technology, organized her visit all by herself. We spent an hour in the room recreating the inside of an exploration ship where everything could be touched, smelled, and manipulated. Lucie adored the boat ride ✨
