The Levada do Alecrim is a scenic trail located in the Rabaçal area of Madeira Island, Portugal. The trail follows the Levada do Alecrim at an altitude of 1300 meters and offers wide views of the Rabaçal valley and Ribeira da Janela. The trail is approximately 3.5 km long and is considered an easy hike, making it suitable for families with children. Along the way, hikers will pass through a lush forest called Laurissilva, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and unique heather tunnels. The highlight of the hike is the spring of Levada do Alecrim, a waterway built to supply the Hydroelectric Power Plant of Calheta, where visitors can refresh themselves at the 'Dona Beja' lake, which feeds the impressive Lagoa do Vento waterfall
