The Museu da Electricidade is a museum located in Lisbon, Portugal, that showcases the evolution of energy and the history of electricity in the city. The museum is housed in a group of buildings classified as national heritage, including the Central Tejo or Lisbon power station. The main interest of the museum is the machinery used to supply electricity to the city of Lisbon in the first half of the 20th century, including 19th-century dynamos and electric motors, steam engines, high-pressure boilers, hydraulic generators, and other tools and equipment. The museum also features a unique example of Portuguese industrial architecture from the first half of the 20th century, with a structure that follows the western type of architecture of iron covered with brick, and facades that range from art-nouveau to classicism

Activities: We visited the Electricity Museum, which is housed in an old power station and features many experimental electrical activities. My personal favourite was the body heat map, and we had some great fun playing around with that. Our daughter spent a long time in the experiment section
Highlights: We enjoyed the museum, especially the experiment section where our daughter spent a long time. It was a bargain for an hour of entertainment ✨
