Benagil Caves

The Benagil Sea Cave is a spectacular light-filled dome enclosing a beach within its walls. It is a unique place with a round skylight and multiple entrances from the sea. Visitors can take a boat or kayak tour to enter the cave, but swimming into the cave is no longer permitted. The cave's interior can be appreciated and photographed from the boat or kayak. Guided kayak and SUP tours offer a more immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore smaller nooks that boats cannot reach. A moderate fitness level is necessary for these tours.
