Quatro fábricas da Luz is a historical industrial area with four old factories that played a significant role in the production and distribution of electric energy through renewable sources. The area features several places of great historical importance, including the Fábrica da Cidade, Fábrica da Vila, and the Mini Hydric Central of Ribeira da Praia. Visitors can explore the ruins of the old factories, walk along the stream, and see the old loading chamber of Fábrica da Vila. The area also features waterfalls, such as the Cascata do Segredo, and a small museum, Núcleo Museológico da Electricidade – Fábrica da Praia, which showcases the history of electricity production in the area
