What to expect

The Chá Gorreana is a tea plantation and factory located in Ribeira Grande, on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores. It is the oldest tea factory in Europe still in operation, founded in 1883. The factory is surrounded by 32 hectares of tea plants and offers a unique atmosphere, with old machines and a living museum. Visitors can participate in collecting tea leaves and taste the best tea of a lifetime. The tea is 100% organic, not being subjected to any use of herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides. The factory is a great place to visit with family and friends, with a relaxing trail surrounding the industrial complex
