The Warsaw Zoological Garden, also known as the Warsaw Zoo, is a scientific zoo located alongside the Vistula River in Warsaw, Poland. It is an accredited member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). The zoo has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century, and has been involved in various conservation efforts, including the European Endangered species Programme (EEP). The zoo's mission is integrated nature protection, aiming at ensuring the sustainability of species, and is based on five pillars: Breeding, Education, Research, Rehabilitation, and Recreation.
