The Clarin Ancestral House is a traditional Filipino-Spanish house that dates back to 1840. It is a typical one big square house with a coral stone foundation, rough-hewn wooden posts, wooden walls and floors of wide hardwood planks, and a receiving hall with a high vaulted ceiling. The house has a long slanting roof covered with nipa leaves and is made up of two floors, with the living quarters located on the upper floor. The upper floor has large and wide windows with capiz-shell sashes that let sunlight in even when closed. The house is now a museum housing family collections and memorabilia dating back to the American period. It was declared as a Heritage House by the National Historical Institute and is one of the most visited ancestral houses in Bohol
