Aguas Calientes

Aguas Calientes, also known as Machupicchu, is a small cosmopolitan town located in the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Peru. It is the closest access point to the historical site of Machu Picchu, which is 6 kilometers away. The town has a population of around 4,500 inhabitants and offers various tourist services, including hotels, restaurants, and natural hot baths. The town is situated at an altitude of 2,040 meters above sea level and is surrounded by mountains, cliffs, and a cloud forest. Aguas Calientes is a popular destination for tourists visiting Machu Picchu, with many activities to do, such as hiking, visiting the thermal baths, and exploring the nearby Mándor gardens
