The Mercado Central de San Pedro is the main and oldest market in the city of Cusco, Peru. It is located in the historic center, in front of the Plazoleta San Pedro and the street Santa Clara, which corresponds to the old Inca road that connected the capital of the Tawantinsuyo with the Contisuyo. The market has a neoclassical style and consists of a series of columns that support a large roof of calamine sheets. It has 1180 shops and offers a wide variety of products, including food, handicrafts, and souvenirs. The market is a great place to experience the local culture and try traditional Peruvian cuisine
