The Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena is a large monastery of the Dominican Second Order, located in Arequipa, Peru. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site 'Historical Centre of the City of Arequipa'. The monastery occupies an area of 20,000 square meters and is characterized by its multitude of streets, narrow and tortuous. It has a unique architecture, with solid walls, flying buttresses, and strong arches based on pillars. The current building houses splendid pieces of art, such as a Baroque altar and several paintings from the Cusco School. The monastery also offers special programs, including an exclusive program for primary and secondary students and a theatrical visitation program for the general public
