Bondhusvatnet is a lake in Kvinnherad municipality, located south of Sunndal by Maurangerfjorden. The lake's water source is meltwater from Bondhusbreen, a glacier arm of Folgefonna. It is situated in the Bondhusdalen landscape protection area and is a popular tourist destination, with over 50,000 annual visitors. The lake and its river are a source of drinking water. The area was once home to a significant ice export industry in the late 19th century, and a road was built to transport ice from Bondhusbrea, which is now used as a hiking trail
