Polaria is the world's most northerly aquarium, located in Tromsø, Norway. It is designed to be an educational experience, with particular emphasis on displays for children. The aquarium features a five-screen panoramic cinema, an 'Arctic Walkway' area, and many conventional aquaria displaying local marine life. Its centerpiece is an open pool containing a group of bearded seals. The building itself is also noteworthy, with a striking design that represents ice floes that have been pressed up on land by the rough seas of the Arctic. Polaria is suitable for all age groups and families, with a recommended visiting time of 2 hours and an activity level of very easy. The aquarium offers guided tours and seal meetings, and is adapted for people with reduced mobility, with wheelchair-accessible ramps and an elevator
