What to expect

Andøya Space Center is a rocket launch site, rocket range, and spaceport located on the island of Andøya in northern Norway. The center has been in operation since 1962 and has launched over 1,200 sounding and sub-orbital rockets. It provides launch services for small satellites, facilitates end-to-end testing of weapon and sensor systems, and offers activities, seminars, and conferences related to space technology. The center is also home to the ALOMAR observatory, which is unique in atmospheric research in the Arctic. Visitors can explore the center's history, which includes the launch of the first Norwegian rocket, Ferdinand 1, in 1962
