It connects Averøy with the mainland via a series of small islands and islets spanned by a total of eight bridges over 8274 meters. The road offers a cohesive experience of coast, culture, and history, with spectacular viewpoints, such as the Svevestien trail on Eldhusøya and the viewing platform at Askevågen. Visitors can stop and explore on foot, by bike, or try their luck fishing in some of Norway's most bountiful waters. The area also offers various accommodations, including unique hotels and cabins, and activities like surfing and snorkeling with seals. The road is adapted for disabled visitors and is family-friendly, making it a great destination for families to enjoy together
