What to expect
Gimle Gård is a cultural museum of historic interest, located in a manor house dating from around 1800. The museum features collections of paintings, period furniture, and china, and is surrounded by an English-style landscape manor house park and a rose garden. Visitors can explore the museum and its grounds, and children can enjoy historical games and activities, such as riding a hobby-horse and trying walking on stilts, in the courtyard. The museum is also home to a photographic exhibition in the basement, showcasing motifs from life at the estate

Activities: We visited Gimle Gård, an old mansion. We had a private tour, which was absolutely great. The guide opened several barriers so the children could see various things up close and answered our questions, but we were not allowed to take photos
Highlights: The children enjoyed the private tour, and were very enthusiastic. The young woman seemed genuinely impressed by the enthusiasm that our boys showed ✨
