Playa Marsella is a bay of fishermen and summer houses located right next to San Juan del Sur, in the Rivas region of Nicaragua. The beach has fine and white sand that stretches along the bay, and it is known for its calm waters and surrounding hills with abundant species of tropical trees. Activities that can be performed on this beach include swimming, hiking, sea turtle nesting, kayaking, horseback riding, sports or fishing, boating or sailing dinghy ride for whale watching. There is also a crocodile called 'Paco' on Marsella beach, and visitors are advised to pay attention to the danger signs. The beach has a few accommodations, hotels, and hostels, and there are nearby restaurants, such as La Concha, that serve fresh seafood
