Océan Beach, also known as Kawhia Hot Water Beach, is a remote beach on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. It's a great spot for families to relax and enjoy the geothermally heated water that bubbles up through the black sand at low tide. Visitors can dig their own bath and soak in the warm water while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The beach is quite expansive, so even if it gets busy, it doesn't feel crowded. The area is also home to a harbour with a tranquil inner harbour and a vast, peaceful landscape. Families can enjoy activities such as fishing, and visiting the nearby Kawhia Regional Museum to learn about the area's rich history
