State Highway 2 is a major highway in the North Island of New Zealand, running north-south through eastern parts of the island from the outskirts of Auckland to Wellington. The highway passes through various towns and cities, including Tauranga, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, and Masterton. It consists of a two-lane single carriageway for most of its length, with frequent passing lanes and sections of four-lane dual-carriageway expressway at Maramarua, Tauranga, and Wellington.
