What to expect

The Museo di Escher, also known as Escher in Het Paleis, is a museum featuring the works of the Dutch graphical artist M.C. Escher. The museum is housed in the former Winter Palace of Queen Mother Emma of the Netherlands and showcases a large number of Escher's woodcuts and lithographs, including his world-famous prints such as 'Sky and Water', 'Belvedere', and 'Waterfall'. The museum also features interactive displays, including an 'Escher Room' where grownups seem to be smaller than their children, and a collection of optical illusions. The museum's interior includes chandeliers made by the Rotterdam artist Hans van Bentem and a parquet floor designed by the American minimal artist Donald Judd
