Dordrecht

Dordrecht is a city and municipality in the Western Netherlands, located in the province of South Holland. It is the province's fifth-largest city with a population of 123,000. The city has a rich history and culture, and is the oldest city in Holland. Dordrecht is situated on the Dordrecht Island, bordered by the rivers Oude Maas, Beneden Merwede, Nieuwe Merwede, Hollands Diep, and Dordtsche Kil. The city has a strategic location and has developed into an important market city, trading primarily in wine, wood, and cereals. Dordrecht is also home to the Johan de Witt Gymnasium, the oldest gymnasium in the Netherlands
