Recreational lake the Oldemeijer

Recreatieplas De Oldemeijer is a recreational lake located in the Boswachterij Harderberg forestry in Overijssel, Netherlands. The lake offers swimming and relaxation opportunities surrounded by green nature. The forestry, which is over 1,000 hectares in size, is also home to deer and birds of prey, and features heaths, fens, and sand drifts. Visitors can enjoy cycling and hiking trails, and explore the varied landscape that was created by planting trees in the early 20th century to prevent sand drifts. The lake has a beach and an island that can be reached by swimming or via two foot bridges, and there are toilets and a kiosk available
