What to expect

Namche Bazaar is a town in the Khumbu region of Nepal, located at an elevation of 3,440 meters. It is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers heading to Everest Base Camp, offering stunning views of surrounding snow-capped peaks, including Kongde Ri, Kusum Khangaru, Thamserku, and Khongeta. The town has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century, and was originally a trading post where Tibetan and Nepalese traders exchanged goods. Today, it is a bustling marketplace with a variety of shops, restaurants, and lodges, including German bakeries, cafes, and an Irish pub. Visitors can also explore the nearby Sagarmatha National Park, which is headquartered in Namche Bazaar. The town is also home to several museums, including the Sherpa Museum, which showcases the history and culture of the Sherpa people. The climate in Namche Bazaar is cool throughout the year, with temperatures ranging from 8 to 18 degrees Celsius in the summer and -8 to 8 degrees Celsius in the winter
