Tétouan is a city in northern Morocco, located along the Martil Valley and one of the two major ports of Morocco on the Mediterranean Sea. The city has a rich history, with the first settlements dating back to the 3rd century BC. It is a renowned multicultural center, with a medina that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The city is also part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the area of Crafts and Folk Art since 2017. Tétouan is often linked to Granada and is nicknamed 'Granada's Daughter' and 'Pequeña Jerusalén' by Sephardi Jews. The city has a population of around 380,787 inhabitants and is a great place to visit for its cultural and historical significance
