The Kasbah of Agadir Oufella is a historic site that offers a panoramic view of the city of Agadir and its bay. It was built in 1540 by Mohamed Ech-Cheikh, a monarch of the Saadian dynasty, to protect the city from Portuguese attacks. The Kasbah was destroyed in the 1960 earthquake, but its ramparts have been rehabilitated and the interior has undergone major restoration work. Visitors can access the citadel through an authentic gate with an inscription in Dutch, and explore the remains of the 16th-century medina, including narrow lanes, market squares, and a big mosque. The Kasbah is a must-see attraction in Agadir, providing a unique perspective on the city's history and its surroundings
