The Borj Nord, also known as Burj al-Shamal, is a fort in the city of Fez, Morocco, built in 1582 by the Saadi dynasty. The fort was constructed to keep a watchful eye over the city and was designed to emulate Portuguese military architecture. Today, it houses the Museum of Arms, which exhibits a collection of over 5,000 weapons from prehistoric times to the present day, including Moroccan arms, European firearms, and other artifacts. The museum is located in a historic fortress with stunning views of the Fes Medina and is a great place to visit for those interested in history, architecture, and military artifacts
