Mohammed V Square is a public square of historical and symbolic significance located in central Casablanca, Morocco. It was established in 1916 and features a unique combination of traditional and modern architecture, with buildings influenced by Hispano-Muslim, Andalusian, and neo-Moorish styles. The square is home to several important institutions, including the Prefecture, the Post Office, the Central Bank of Morocco, the Palace of Justice, and the French Consulate General. A large circular fountain is located in the center of the square, and a new modern version of the fountain was installed on the west side of the esplanade in 2020. The square is also surrounded by several historic buildings, including the Grand Theatre of Casablanca, which is expected to become a focal point for performing arts in the city
